Key Responsibilities

As a Sales Associate - Customer Engagement, you will play a vital role in maximizing store sales and achieving sales goals under close supervision.

  • Assist in driving sales growth and meeting sales targets by providing exceptional customer service and coaching associates on customer engagement.
  • Monitor sales progress and results against key performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance sales performance.
  • Lead a productive sales floor environment by engaging customers, providing coaching and feedback to associates, and ensuring excellence in customer service.
  • Address customer feedback and concerns in a timely and professional manner, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Perform a variety of routine assignments and tasks to support the sales team and achieve business objectives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of related experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Apply knowledge of sales principles and customer service standards to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage customers, coach associates, and resolve customer concerns.

Problem Solving

  • Proactively identify and address sales opportunities and customer concerns, escalating issues to senior team members or supervisors as needed.
  • Select the best course of action from a set of defined procedures and solutions, using common sense and experience to resolve customer issues.

Interaction

  • Interact with customers, associates, and other stakeholders to convey information, provide coaching, and resolve customer concerns.
  • Utilize basic written and verbal skills to respond to customer inquiries and manage interactions in person or remotely.

Impact

  • Contribute to the achievement of sales goals and business objectives through personal effort and effective customer engagement.
  • Impact will be limited to the immediate sales team, although wider impact is likely in customer-facing roles.

Accountability

  • Accountable for delivering own work activities to agreed timescales and quality standards.
  • Performance measured against predefined service level requirements or equivalent metrics.
