We are looking for a** Pilot, Commissioning and Start-up Engineer**, to be based in **Spain**. This role is a remote position, which will lead the water re-use / recycling pilot facility and test programs. You’ll work closely with R&D and the Project Engineering team, to ensure correct commissioning and test methods before handover of our sustainable water solutions for our industrial customers in Spain and beyond

**What you'll do**
- Lead water reuse / recycling pilot test facility and test programs
- Collaborate with R&D to develop new test methods and facilities
- Overwatching Leading erection prior commissioning, start-up of projects, supervising Nalco Team, and contractors, as necessary.
- Pre commissioning ensuring in coordination with Project Manager that conditions are fulfilled for smooth hot/start up and commissioning activities
- Attending Factory Acceptance Test at equipment/vendors facilities; approving FAT protocol prepared by vendors
- Creating and carrying out test & hand-over procedures
- Training maintenance and operative staff
- Performing review of existing conditions at customer locations (plant audits).

**What you'll need**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electromechanical) or equivalent experience
- Previous engineering experience in the Water treatment sector
- Experience in commissioning and start-up water treatment plant
- Demonstrated knowledge of project management tools and techniques on cross functional teams.
- Ability to communicate
- Fluent in English, Spanish and other languages
- Driver’s Licence and ability to travel within Europe as required - at least 50% of the time

**Other knowledge which could contribute to your success**:

- Fluent knowledge of mechanical, piping, electrical, materials and their compatibility with most common chemicals and specialties.
- Familiarity with a wide range of water treatment process technologies (Reverse Osmosis, Ultrafiltration, filtration, DAF, etc..) and knowledge of designing water treatment systems (wastewater and process water)
- Experience with plant operation & maintenance
- Awareness of most used international standards and norms required for equipment construction and certification
