About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Verification Engineer II to join our Mechanical Business Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting software testing of ANSYS applications, ensuring that our products meet customer needs and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate the functionality and performance of ANSYS applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing requirements.
  • Design and implement automated testing scripts and software tools to streamline testing processes.
  • Investigate and resolve defects and issues related to ANSYS applications.
  • Communicate effectively with technical specialists and stakeholders to ensure seamless product delivery.
Requirements
  • BS in mechanical or civil or structural engineering with 2 years of experience, or MS with no experience.
  • Strong knowledge of structural and computational mechanics.
  • Experience with FEA and CAE tools, including FE methods.
  • Proficient in one or more programming or scripting languages: Python, C++, C#, Jscript, Perl.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical knowledge and experience with explicit dynamics, structural dynamics, and numerical methods.
  • Experience in a large-scale commercial software testing and verification environment.
  • PhD degree will be considered.
  • Strong programming skills are highly desirable.
  • Experience with ANSYS structural mechanics products, LS-DYNA, AUTODYN, Explicit would be a clear advantage.
