The Role
We are seeking a Testing Automation Specialist who will assume a pivotal leadership position in deploying the testing automation framework specifically for Mobile Applications within one of the largest eCommerce platforms globally. This role involves leading an international digital team and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to fulfill our client's business objectives.
The selected candidate will be responsible for evaluating, defining, implementing, and overseeing the solution. Additionally, they will ensure optimal performance and quality of the solution to provide an exceptional user experience for end consumers.
The team you will lead is passionate and enthusiastic, engaged in various challenging projects utilizing cutting-edge technologies as part of the digital transformation strategy.
You will be part of a vibrant environment in one of Europe’s most dynamic cities, working with one of the top 3 FMCG brands worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate current workflows, the testing organization involved in mobile testing automation, and the objectives of the automation. Review the existing testing automation framework for mobile applications. Analyze project context needs (market customizations, test data requirements, environments, and any variables that could enhance testing optimization) to define the optimal technological setup. Compile a list of current technologies, both open-source and licensed, that could be integrated into the technological framework. Create a shortlist of technologies for a Proof of Concept based on established criteria. Develop a business case for the selected technologies, which may include programming-based, low-code, or record-and-play options. Present the advantages and disadvantages of the chosen technologies during the assessment. After technology selection, lead the implementation and integration of the framework, ensuring collaboration with other teams such as development and devsecops. Integrate the framework with other organizational systems, including reporting and CI/CD. Promote and manage change effectively. Oversee the testing automation framework while leading a continuous improvement initiative.Candidate Profile
Who are you?
Over 10 years of professional experience in testing automation, with at least 6 years focused on automating native applications using various methodologies. Proficient in multiple technologies (Appium, Spresso, Katalon, TestComplete, NightwatchJS, XCUI tests, Calabash, Robotium, Flutter, Robot Framework, Selendroid, Xamarin, Copado, etc). Experience with cloud platforms that provide access to simulators and real devices (Browserstack, Saucelabs, Perfecto Mobile, etc). Expertise in applying AI for testing optimization (test preparation, bug estimation, self-healing scripts, etc). Strong understanding of complex information system architectures and web services. Proficient programming skills in languages such as Java, Javascript, VBScript, TypeScript, C#, Python, etc. Familiar with evaluating the ROI of testing automation investments. Experience across various automation testing solutions, ideally with multi-market mobile applications. Committed to continuous improvement and implementing enhancements.Skills & Attributes
