A400M Global Support Inventory Manager Job Description

Job Summary:

The A400M Global Support Inventory Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing inventory levels and demand management activities to support the A400M Global Support contract. This contract is our main in-service support solution for the A400M platform, providing material availability support to our core nations (France, Spain, UK, and Belgium) in Airbus Defence and Space.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Inventory Management: Lead the definition and implementation of internal processes and KPIs to maximize the advanced planning of spare parts, ensuring the right balance between financial constraints and contractual requirements.
  2. Team Collaboration: Build and reinforce a trust-based atmosphere with the international network involved in the contracts, emphasizing daily processes with local teams at customer MOBs to lead a clear teamwork spirit focused on customer fleet availability and satisfaction.
  3. Business Development: Develop and maintain a solid business model together with different functions supporting MRO activities worldwide for our customers under a PBL contract, with a special focus on common understanding of anticipation levers.
  4. Project Delivery: Ensure timely delivery of solutions for activities under the area accountability and support acquisition for new projects.
Key Performance Indicators:

The jobholder is fully accountable for inventory levels management for the most important in-service support solution for our main core nations flying the A400M platform, directly impacting profit and loss.

Advance planning and forecasting processes will maximize spare parts availability, contributing to customer fleet availability and satisfaction.

Required Skills:
  1. Education: Degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or Physics.
  2. Supply Chain Experience: Strong knowledge and experience in Supply Chain and logistics areas, including APICs and logistics certifications. Appreciated past experience in Inventory Management.
  3. Data Analysis: Ability to deal with large sets of data with an advanced level in office package (Excel and Access).
  4. SAP Expertise: SAP R/3 (Logistic-Production module) expert level, with work experience in production, planning, inventory, and purchase orders management transactions.
  5. Project Management: Ability to concurrently manage multiple complex projects and adapt effectively in a dynamic environment with unpredictable and shifting priorities.
  6. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities.
