About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the European Space Agency's mission to empower Europe to lead space science. As a Science Education Specialist and Communication Coordinator, you will play a key role in defining and implementing the Communication and Education Strategy for the Science Directorate.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate CESAR efforts with main partners and the ESA Education Office on activities such as school and university visits, educational material creation, and teacher training.
- Develop and manage regular CESAR training opportunities for school teachers and oversee educational events, including video-conferences and remote operations of CESAR educational telescopes.
- Ensure optimal access to educational resources through the continuous improvement of the CESAR educational website.
- Support management in the best use of resources related to communication and education, including managing and monitoring contracts and setting up new contracts to strengthen the impact and reach of available resources.
- Experience in space science and science communication.
- Experience in project management.
- Experience in managing contracts.
- Experience in designing, developing, and delivering educational activities.
- Result Orientation, Operational Efficiency, Fostering Cooperation, Relationship Management, Continuous Improvement, Forward Thinking.
A master's degree in a relevant domain is required for this post.
Additional RequirementsAn advanced level in Spanish (equivalent to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages CEFR level of C1 or C2) is also required.

Important InformationRecruitment will be within the advertised grade band (A2-A4). However, if the selected candidate has less than four years of relevant professional experience following the completion of the master's degree, the position may be filled at A1 level.
