About the Role:

The Cloud and Hosting Services Manager will be responsible for managing the development and implementation of Cloud-based IT infrastructure, service, and support models. This will involve leading the transition of Cloud Infrastructure and Operations management services to a Managed Service Partner, focusing on contract/vendor management and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the physical and virtual infrastructure required to support cloud and hosting services, including servers, networking equipment, storage systems, and data centers.

• Oversee the deployment of cloud services, including virtual machines, containers, databases, and other cloud-based applications.

• Ensure the security of cloud and hosting environments by implementing security measures such as access controls, encryption, threat detection, and vulnerability management.

• Ensure the performance of cloud and hosting services is optimal and maximize availability for users and applications.

• Be accountable for resource allocation in cloud environments, such as compute resources, storage, and bandwidth, to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, as well as implementing governance policies and procedures for cloud and hosting services.

• Oversee planning and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity strategies to minimize downtime and data loss in case of disasters or system failures.

• Manage relationships with cloud service providers and other vendors to ensure quality of service, negotiate contracts, and oversee service level agreements (SLAs).

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have 5+ years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in Business or a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You will also need to have sound knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and software applications, as well as proficiency in project management tools and methodologies. Additionally, you will need to have process improvement, optimization, and research and information synthesis skills, as well as financial and risk management skills. You will also need to have complex problem-solving and verbal and written communication skills, as well as analytical and problem-solving skills, and data-driven decision-making skills. Finally, you will need to have collaboration and team skills, with a focus on cross-group collaboration, and be a seasoned expert with extensive industry knowledge.
