Job Title: Cloud and Hosting Services Manager

Reporting to the Director of IT Operations, the Cloud and Hosting Services Manager will be a strategic business and technology leader responsible for managing the development and implementation of cloud-based IT infrastructure, service, and support models. The role will focus on driving innovation, compliance, and optimization to provide optimal performance to business users across Caldic globally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the physical and virtual infrastructure required to support cloud and hosting services, including servers, networking equipment, storage systems, and data centers.
  • Lead the transition of cloud infrastructure and operations management services to a managed service partner, focusing on contract/vendor management and service delivery.
  • Oversee the deployment of cloud services, including virtual machines, containers, databases, and other cloud-based applications.
  • Ensure the security of cloud and hosting environments by implementing security measures such as access controls, encryption, threat detection, and vulnerability management.
  • Ensure the performance of cloud and hosting services is optimal and maximize availability for users and applications.
  • Accountable for resource allocation in cloud environments, such as compute resources, storage, and bandwidth, to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, as well as implementing governance policies and procedures for cloud and hosting services.
  • Oversee planning and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity strategies to minimize downtime and data loss in case of disasters or system failures.
  • Manage relationships with cloud service providers and other vendors to ensure quality of service, negotiate contracts, and oversee service level agreements (SLAs).
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in Business or a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Sound knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and software applications.
  • Technology Business Requirements. Definition, Analysis, and Mapping.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Process Improvement, optimization, and Research and information synthesis.
  • Financial & Risk Management.
  • Complex Problem Solving & Verbal & written communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills. Data-driven decision making.
  • Collaboration & team skills; with a focus on cross-group collaboration.
  • Seasoned expert with extensive industry knowledge.
  • Technical leader viewed as a thought leader for innovation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, stakeholders, and vendors.
