Job Title: IT Support Specialist

Our client, an international engineering company, is seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to join their Global IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for desktop systems, printers, and connectivity in the Madrid office, as well as monitoring and maintaining computer systems within the wider organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and configure computer systems
  • Diagnose and solve hardware and software faults
  • Analyze call logs to identify trends and underlying issues
  • Install new software and hardware
  • Manage and prioritize support tickets
  • Oversee security and install anti-virus protection
  • Fix network faults and provide technical support for network users
  • Train staff on new systems and technologies
  • Perform day-to-day admin and monitoring of IT systems
  • Plan and implement future improvements and IT solutions
Requirements:
  • Experience in desktop support with Windows OS 10, Teams, Outlook, and Office365 products
  • Understanding of networking protocols and concepts, including routing and wide area networks
  • Diagnostic abilities and experience with VMWare, Veeam, and Hyper-V
  • Understanding of group policy and Active Directory concepts
  • Good spoken and written English and Spanish, with knowledge of other languages an advantage
  • Microsoft certifications or other recognized certifications an advantage
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Iberia and Europe (up to 10% of the time)
