Job Summary

Vonage is seeking a seasoned Product Manager to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of the new developer onboarding experience for the Vonage Video API. This role is ideal for an experienced product leader with a strong background in WebRTC who enjoys working closely with API developers and has empathy for new developer onboarding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the vision, strategy, and execution of the new developer onboarding experience of the Vonage Video API as part of a broader Vonage API Dashboard.
  • Work closely with new users to deeply understand their needs and develop product offerings that are easy to adopt and grow platform value.
  • Collaborate with engineering and UX teams to translate customer needs into product requirements and user stories to accelerate developers' journey.
  • Advocate internally for Video API users' needs, especially in conjunction with other CPaaS APIs.
  • Lead global cross-functional teams including engineering, PM, marketing, developer experience, customer success, and business development to execute on vision and strategy.
  • Perform industry and competitive analysis to identify trends, portfolio gaps, and new product opportunities.
  • Define key metrics to evaluate product performance, analyze data, inform product decisions, and measure success.

Requirements

  • 8+ years as a Product Manager delivering client or cloud-based platform products and features (SaaS or PaaS).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams, customers, and executives.
  • Action-oriented with an ability to leverage collaboration skills and initiative to get things done.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Experience identifying success metrics and analyzing data.
  • Technical background in APIs & SDKs using WebRTC is expected.
  • Technical software development background with the ability to prototype using the product APIs.
  • Background in building real-time video or voice-based customer experiences.
  • Background working with telecommunications is a plus.
  • Background or experience in machine learning is a plus.
  • Bachelor in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
