About Sun Chemical
Sun Chemical, a leading producer of packaging and graphic solutions, color and display technologies, functional products, electronic materials, and products for the automotive and healthcare industries, is seeking a skilled Project Manager to join its EMEA Engineering & Maintenance Department.
Your Responsibilities
- Design technical solutions for studies and projects assigned, including P&IDs, layouts, and coordination with the Engineering Manager, regional Operations, and EH&S departments.
- Validate the technical feasibility of proposed solutions and estimate their economic cost.
- Request quotations to vendors and contractors, comparing proposals on a technical and economical level to select the optimal solution.
- Justify and request investments for approved projects.
- Process purchase orders for approved projects.
- Supervise and coordinate external contractors involved in approved projects.
- Prepare, coordinate, witness, supervise, and document the commissioning and start-up of approved projects.
- Control the budget assigned for each project and ensure timely invoicing approval.
- Manage project documentation, including O&M manuals, procedures, certifications, and other relevant documents.
- Provide support for in-plant installations and important customer requests.
Your Profile
- Hold a degree in Chemical Engineering or a similar field.
- Have at least 10 years of experience in managing projects in the chemical industry or a similar field.
- Experience in the painting/inks/adhesives manufacturing industry is a plus.
- Possess good communication skills in English, Spanish, and French, both verbally and in writing.
- Be available for travel.
