Position Overview
Role Objective
As a pivotal Program Manager in Architecture & Software Engineering, you will serve as a guiding force within Roche Diagnostics. Your primary responsibility is to enhance customer and business value by meticulously planning, launching, and executing a strategic program within a multifaceted, iterative framework.
You will spearhead the Reference Architecture Adoption Program within the Architecture & Software Engineering division. In this capacity, you will be instrumental in defining and promoting the adoption of the Reference Architecture, which serves as a comprehensive guide comprising a standardized set of recommended services, integrations, and an overview of data flows among various architectural components integral to the solution. This architecture is organized into Architecture Building Blocks, categorized by layers, with more detailed building blocks beneath.
Your role will involve designing, maintaining, and establishing an effective governance structure and leadership for the program. You will play a crucial role in defining and guiding squads within the program, ensuring alignment with Roche's core values and leadership commitments.
Reporting to the Software Program Management Office (PMO) Lead in Roche Information Solutions, you will collaborate closely with various teams, including Engineering, Roche Diagnostics Solutions, Roche Integrated Informatics, and other functions within RIS and Diagnostics to successfully deliver the Diagnostics Reference Architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Reference Architecture Adoption program, managing high complexity and a range of cross-functional projects, squads, and initiatives. Foster governance, collaboration, and transparency throughout the program. Utilize and enhance essential program management tools to ensure transparency and facilitate stakeholder engagement, including: Program Charter, Strategic Program Roadmap, Resource & Capacity Planning, Program Backlog, and Budget Monitoring. Assist in staffing projects, squads, initiatives, or teams within the program. Serve as a trustworthy and compliant partner to key stakeholders, including squad/project/team leaders and finance/control teams. Establish and implement metrics and key performance indicators to enhance transparency and assess progress and success, including an Adoption Savings Dashboard; develop strategies for addressing under-performing metrics. Identify, monitor, and mitigate significant risks, engaging relevant stakeholders promptly to facilitate mitigation efforts. Promote a culture of agile methodologies and continuous improvement by identifying, proposing, and implementing enhancement opportunities.Ideal Candidate Profile:
A degree and experience in a relevant field (Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.), with a preference for MSIS, MIS, or MBA qualifications. Over 10 years of experience in leading programs, projects, and teams within agile environments, demonstrating tangible outcomes. Consulting experience is preferred. A quick learner with the capacity to comprehend complex workflows and devise innovative solutions to meet customer needs or capitalize on market opportunities. A hands-on, customer-focused, and collaborative approach. Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders and customers to convey technical concepts and translate insights into actionable deliverables. Proven ability to establish and communicate a vision, set objectives, develop and implement strategies, and monitor and evaluate outcomes. Familiarity with technological trends and their implications for the healthcare sector.-
