The Institute for Multilingualism at UIC Barcelona is a leading research center that focuses on second language acquisition and multilingualism. We are currently seeking a senior researcher to join our team and contribute to our cutting-edge research projects.
Job DescriptionThis tenure-track position offers an exciting opportunity to lead research in second language acquisition and create synergies with other members of the GRAM group. As a senior researcher, you will be expected to apply for national and international research grants to self-fund your research at the Institute for Multilingualism.
What We Offer- A competitive salary ranging from €60,000 to €80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
- A reduced teaching load based on publication record and obtained funding.
- A PhD in a discipline related to the position, such as second language acquisition, applied linguistics, or multilingualism.
- Senior profiles with a minimum of 2 years of postdoctoral experience are desirable.
- An excellent track record in SLA research with solid skills and proven experience in quantitative and/or qualitative research.
- Proven record of effective teaching at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate level in the fields of applied linguistics and/or English for Specific Purposes.
- Ability to lead a research group and secure external funding.
