About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Kubernetes infrastructure organization in India. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling Go clients and projects, as well as contributing to New Relic's infrastructure development and management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain Go clients and projects, ensuring high-quality and scalability.
  • Contribute to New Relic's infrastructure development, focusing on Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies.
  • Collaborate with team members to discuss and implement service improvements, and research new tools and services to solve complex problems.
  • Work in an agile environment with a DevOps approach, participating in second-layer support rotations and contributing to Infrastructure as Code (IAC).
Requirements
  • 4+ years of professional experience in software development and/or operations.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or relevant field.
  • Hands-on experience coding in Golang, Java, Python, or Bash.
  • 4+ years of experience with containerization tools, including Kubernetes, Istio, Cluster API, and Crossplane.
  • Deep understanding of security, reliability, performance, and cost-effectiveness of distributed systems on public cloud providers like Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google GCP.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, Ansible, Travis CI, and Circle CI.
  • API design and development exposure with Go programming language.
  • Experience in cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
