Job Title: Engineering Manager

At TomTom, we're revolutionizing the way the world moves with our cutting-edge location-based technologies. We're seeking an exceptional Engineering Manager to join our ADAS ADS Product Unit, leading the production of TomTom's HD maps and ADAS technology.

About the Role

As an Engineering Manager, you'll be accountable for the outcomes achieved by your team. You'll manage one or two engineering teams, directly or indirectly via other Engineering Managers. Your performance will be significantly based on the business impact of your team, as well as the extent to which the team develops top talent through daily business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set guidelines for all developers in our department by aligning with peers, the industry, and tech leads.
  • Add value to our software engineering practices by challenging and improving the process and applying best practices from the industry.
  • Identify growth opportunities, empowering team members to take ownership and coaching them to success and doing a little bit better every day.
  • Show leadership by identifying opportunities and taking ownership of initiatives outside of your team's scope.
  • Define a team topology and staffing plan that sets the team up for success.
Requirements

You'll need experience in Map making, Machine Learning, Computer vision, Sensor data processing and calibration, 3D data processing, SLAM, SfM, graph optimization. You'll also need to understand AI and have experience owning a team with a mix of Applied Scientists and Engineers.
