Job Summary

As a key member of the Jabil team, the Production Engineer will lead the Process Engineering department in achieving operational excellence, integrity, and enthusiasm. This role requires a creative and proactive individual who can contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and provide guidance to Manufacturing Engineering Technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Manufacturing Engineering Technicians on machine and line performance, and provide guidance on optimizing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide training to Manufacturing Engineering Technicians and Assistants on equipment maintenance, machine programming, and part-data file creation.
  • Interface with Line Supervisors, Machine Support Manager, and Manufacturing Engineers to determine corrective actions for machine efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Create and implement procedures to ensure continued operational excellence throughout the plant.
  • Manage Manufacturing Engineering Technician duties in assigned plant(s) and perform duties as needed.
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineers in determining optimum process performance and ensure data integrity functions are completed regularly.
Requirements
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil's software packages.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and read and understand visual aids.
