Job Title: Research Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to join our team at Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing information and analysis on environmental, social, and economic impacts across different sectors and topics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with colleagues to understand their knowledge needs and translate them into actionable research questions.
  • Compile data, identifying the best available sources and determining their validity; store the data safely and efficiently, ensuring access by colleagues.
  • Analyse quantitative or qualitative data, applying appropriate tools and methodologies.
  • Identify and adopt new tools and methodologies for qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Interact with stakeholders in private conversations or public meetings to extract and synthesize information relevant to their research projects.
  • Produce research outputs that explain, in clear language, the conclusions of the research and that provide specific recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience or similar working on projects involving research and analysis, preferably with a focus on environmental, social, and economic sustainability issues.
  • Strong research skills; familiarity with socio-economic and financial databases and bibliographical research; ability to identify data sources and determine their validity.
  • Experience in writing formal or technical documents.
  • Technical knowledge of reporting and standards processes, including experience with the design of performance indicators, is a plus.

  • A competitive salary of €40,000 – €43,000 gross per annum on a full-time basis.
