Technical Animator Job Description

IO Interactive is a leading video game development and publishing company with studios in Copenhagen, Malmö, Barcelona, Istanbul, and Brighton. We're seeking a skilled Technical Animator to join our team and contribute to the development of our next-generation James Bond game, Project 007.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the gameplay and cinematic animation teams to ensure seamless animation implementation.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues related to animation, ensuring a smooth experience for developers and players.
  • Develop and maintain animation systems and pipelines, working closely with animators, riggers, and programmers.
  • Optimize animation processes to improve efficiency and quality, ensuring high performance across various platforms.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for animation-related tools and systems.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of proprietary tools and technologies to support animation workflows.
Requirements:
  • Experience in AAA game development and animation, with a strong background in animation software and tools.
  • Proficiency in Maya, MotionBuilder, and relevant game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine).
  • Experience in developing and maintaining animation systems and pipelines.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to animation.
  • Able to work collaboratively with cross-disciplinary teams, including animators, riggers, and programmers.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented, with a passion for optimizing animation processes and enhancing overall quality.
