We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced researcher to join our team at Tecnalia, a leading research and innovation center. As a Senior Researcher, you will play a key role in our efforts to develop new algorithms and efficient tools for structurally informed design and automation, taking into account fabrication and construction technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in understanding the real demands of complex structural design and engineering problems, as well as a proven track record of developing innovative solutions. You will be responsible for:

  • Managing techno-economic aspects of research projects at national and European levels
  • Participating in the technical development of research projects, particularly in tasks related to data-driven fabrication technologies
  • Generating novel ideas and solutions to address the challenges faced by the construction sector
  • Planning and executing research project activities, optimizing costs and resources
  • Identifying and managing risks, developing contingency plans and mitigating activities
  • Developing and maintaining client relationships during and after the project
  • Ideating and preparing research proposals for industrial clients and public calls
  • Stimulating the development of new intellectual property by monitoring the state-of-the-art and market evolution in digital fabrication technologies
