We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Squash Breeder to join our team at Rijk Zwaan Ibérica, Sa in El Ejido, Spain.
Key Responsibilities- Develop new squash varieties for various market segments worldwide
- Work closely with market specialists to understand market needs and preferences
- Coordinate crop-related processes, including seed logistics, crossing, and phenotyping
- Implement new technology developments and improve existing processes
- Design and evaluate variety trials around the world
- Participate in strategic discussions about the breeding program
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in horticulture, agriculture, applied biology, or plant breeding
- Excellent English and Spanish language skills
- Previous experience in plant breeding is an advantage
- A permanent contract from the start
