About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Regional Team Manager to lead our contracting efforts in the Dach region, encompassing Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of Contract Managers and Yield Managers, driving results, and achieving targets in accordance with departmental and company KPIs and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Management
    • Negotiate and secure best possible rates, conditions, and inventory with suppliers.
    • Monitor and evaluate region performance, identifying new trends and opportunities.
    • Undertake projects as required on behalf of the Contracting arm of the Purchasing Department.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and manage a team of Contract Managers and Yield Managers.
    • Monitor performance, encourage feedback, innovation, and proactivity.
    • Conduct regular one-to-one meetings and team briefings.
    • Provide feedback on individual and team target performance.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Effective internal communication with other departments.
    • Liaise with the Key Accounts team to open lines of communication and push product.
    • Collaborate with the Pricing and Revenue team to maximize profit margin.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' hotel account management experience.
  • Minimum 3 years' team management experience.
  • Strong negotiation skills and pro-active team leadership.
  • Accurate with attention to detail.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Able to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Able to develop and maintain strong and trusting relationships with hoteliers and colleagues.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong team management skills and ability to delegate.
  • Target-driven mentality and ability to communicate effectively internally and externally.
  • German language is strongly desirable.
  • Knowledge of the contract dynamics of the Dach region is a plus.
