Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Underwriter Property Specialist to join our team at AXA XL. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for providing innovative and bespoke underwriting services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze submissions, including policy wording, inspection reports, and financial reports, to determine the degree of risk for each account.
- Calculate appropriate risk premiums by considering the risk costs inherent to the sector.
- Advise and assist clients on insurance and risk management matters to ensure satisfaction and fulfillment of their insurance requirements.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with brokers, clients, and internal functions to initiate opportunities for cross-selling and ensure account retention.
- Implement new and renewed accounts according to quality standards and support the business planning and forecasting process.
- Monitor financial exposure within outlined limits and maintain awareness of all claims advised.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a UW Property role or knowledge of the Insurance/Risk industry and Property risks.
- Strong analytical thinking and communication skills, with the ability to work in Spanish and English.
- Ability to understand stakeholders' needs and concerns and identify points of agreement.
- Motivation to grow professionally in a high-expertise team and work environment.
- Flexibility and innovation in responding to a changing environment.
