About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior UX Researcher to join our research team in the Puzzle studio at Rovio. As a Senior UX Researcher, you will play a critical role in helping our game teams understand their audience and create the most intuitive, accessible, and engaging games in the mobile gaming industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to inform game development and design decisions
  • Work closely with development and marketing teams to understand their design intentions and define research goals
  • Develop and implement research studies using various methodologies, including qualitative, quantitative, and mixed approaches
  • Present research findings to stakeholders through workshops, collaboration, presentations, and documentation
  • Drive a player-first mindset by championing the user and being the voice of the player
Requirements
  • Several years of experience working in a UX Research role in a business environment
  • Strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including one-on-one interviews, playtesting, focus groups, surveys, benchmarking, and behavioral analytics
  • Deep knowledge and passion for gaming and a good understanding of player motivations
  • Proactive attitude to push forward product insights to key stakeholders and ability to translate findings into actionable product improvements
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Great organizational, project management, and analytical skills
