We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physical Security Enablement Manager to join our team at Equinix. As a key member of our security operations team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day support, guidance, and design engineering of our physical security systems.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and Maintain Security Systems: Ensure the effective operation and maintenance of our security systems, including facility maintenance, direct and train operations team members to achieve service availability objectives of 99.999% or better.
- Manage Security Systems Capacity: Oversee the capacity planning and monitoring of our security systems to ensure they meet the business needs of our customers.
- Team Support: Provide guidance and support to operations teams to ensure customer service delivery time frames are safely met.
- Quality Assurance and Employee Training: Develop and implement QA/QC processes and employee training programs to deliver high-quality products and services.
- Incident Management: Provide 24x7, 365 response to emergencies such as security system failures, alarms, customer escalations, and severe weather events.
- Project Support: Collaborate with research and design groups to develop and implement new security technologies and construct new Equinix data centers.
- Resource Management: Plan, coordinate, and review budgets to complete security projects and maintenance within the data center.
- Contract Vendor Management: Coordinate and support the Equinix Security Global Contractors to ensure completion to Equinix's required standards, KPI's, and SLA's.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in facility maintenance, operations, and management with a Bachelor's degree in an applicable field or equivalent.
- Supervisor-level experience with the ability to lead multiple trade disciplines.
- All-around data center security infrastructure and networking background.
- Operational experience with data communication issues, including physical security, resource management, capacity planning, monitoring, and performance.
- Excellent analytical skills and hands-on problem-solving techniques.
- Strong knowledge and/or certification with a security systems manufacturer such as AMAG, Software House, Loronix, Prowatch, Gallagher, Lenel, AEOS, or GE is a plus.
