About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Architect to join our team at Zurich Insurance. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure solutions that align with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of full-stack solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and staying ahead of future technology options.
  2. Technical Expertise: Serve as a technical expert in a specific process or product area, conducting process reviews and initiating change to contribute towards continuous improvement of services to internal customers.
  3. Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with senior architects, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to execute assignments, ensure adherence to IT architectural standards, and promote knowledge-sharing and mentorship.
  4. Requirements Gathering and Translation: Collaborate with business, design, development, and operations teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  5. Technology Selection: Define the right technologies (front-end frameworks, back-end, databases) for projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
  6. Staying Up-to-Date: Deep dive into specific technical areas to stay current with the latest advancements in full-stack development.
  7. Mentorship and Knowledge-Sharing: Lead technical discussions, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions to mentor and guide junior developers.
  8. Documentation and Standards: Develop and document technical standards, coding guidelines, and best practices for the team.
  9. DevOps and System Performance: Work knowledge of DevOps to ensure smooth deployment pipelines and infrastructure management, monitor and analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for optimization.
  10. Coaching and Training: Coach and train more junior team members, promoting knowledge-sharing and skill development.
  11. Process Improvement and Innovation: Develop, propose, and lead the implementation of initiatives to improve processes, develop policies, and support innovation in the Zurich Insurance field.
  12. Platform Support: Provide support to Zurich Insurance platforms support team when required in resolving queries/errors and ensuring technological problems are resolved quickly and efficiently.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Full Stack Architect with a strong background in designing and implementing full-stack solutions, preferably in the insurance industry. Your skills and qualifications should include:

  1. At least 5 years of experience in a Full Stack Architect role, ideally designing and implementing in large, complex organizations.
  2. Technology expertise in programming languages (JS / TS and C#) and expertise with Azure Cloud tools and technologies.
  3. Frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, ) including hands-on expertise with complex proof-of-concepts, governance, and public cloud platform(s).
  4. Back-end development concepts (programming languages, web frameworks, APIs).
  5. Security best practices and concepts to design secure applications.
  6. Relational and non-relational databases (SQL / NoSQL).
  7. Microsoft Power Platform including Power Pages and Dataverse.
  8. Advanced Communication skills in written and spoken English.
  9. Proficiency in Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project.
  10. Experience working in Agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban) and tooling (e.g., Azure DevOps).
  11. Team player with strong stakeholder relationship-building skills.
  12. Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  13. Good self-management skills and stress resilience.
  14. Highly organized with very good attention to detail.
  15. Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field.
  16. Experience in project management is a must.
  17. Spanish and German language skills are a plus.
  18. Solid knowledge of the insurance industry, ideally Commercial Insurance is of advantage.
