About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Architect to join our team at Zurich Insurance Company. As a Full Stack Architect, you will play a key role in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure solutions that align with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and future technology options.
  • Serve as a technical expert in a specific process or product area, conducting process reviews and initiating change to contribute towards continuous improvement of services to internal customers.
  • Work closely with senior architects to execute given assignments, ensuring that IT architectural standards and practices are followed throughout the project/program.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Define right technologies for projects, including front-end frameworks, back-end, databases, and DevOps.
  • Deep dive into specific technical areas to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in full-stack development.
  • Lead technical discussions, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions to mentor and guide junior developers.
  • Develop and document technical standards, coding guidelines, and best practices for the team.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for optimization.
  • Coach and train more junior team members.
  • Develop, propose, and lead the implementation of initiatives to improve processes, develop policies, and support innovation in the insurance industry.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in a Full Stack Architect role, ideally designing and implementing in large, complex organizations.
  • Technology expertise in programming languages (JS/TS and C#) and expertise with Azure Cloud tools and technologies.
  • Proficient in frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, ) including hands-on expertise with complex proof-of-concepts, governance, and public cloud platform(s).
  • Solid understanding of back-end development concepts (programming languages, web frameworks, APIs).
  • Deep knowledge of security best practices and concepts to design secure applications.
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL/NoSQL).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Pages, and Dataverse.
  • Advanced Communication skills in written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project.
  • Experience working in Agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban) and tooling (e.g., Azure DevOps).
  • Team player who is skilled at building up and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Good self-management skills and stress resilience.
  • Highly organized with very good attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in project management is a must.
  • Spanish and German language skills are a plus.
  • Sound knowledge of the insurance industry, ideally Commercial Insurance, is of advantage.
