About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced translator to join our team and contribute to the success of our operations. You'll be responsible for linguistically and culturally interpreting written materials, maintaining or duplicating the structure and style of the original text while ensuring accuracy.

We're looking for someone with excellent spoken and written skills in French, fluency in English, and at least 3 years of experience translating, reviewing, and editing life sciences content, including clinical trial documents.

A tertiary degree in translation or linguistics, combined with 3 years of translation experience, or no university degree but 5 years of translation experience, is a must. You should also be able to work independently, meeting tight deadlines, and have experience with translation management systems and CAT tools, preferably memoQ.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality translations on time, adhering to quality commitments to clients
  • Carefully follow provided material and instructions to meet client requirements
  • Research industry-specific terminology to accurately reflect source content meaning and tone
  • Cross-reference specialized glossaries and translation tools to ensure translation quality
  • Proofread translated texts for terminology, grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy
  • Work with the IQVIA Translations Services team to identify gaps in instructions or external issues affecting client commitments
  • Update or improve glossaries, Translation Memories, Style Guides, and internal assets
Requirements
  • Native speaker in target language: French
  • Excellent spoken and written skills in target language: French
  • Fluency in source language(s) – spoken and written: English
  • At least 3 years of experience translating, reviewing, and editing life sciences content, including clinical trial documents
  • Tertiary degree in translation or linguistics, combined with 3 years of translation experience, or no university degree but 5 years of translation experience
  • Experience with translation management systems and CAT tools, preferably memoQ
