Product Technologist

We are seeking a Product Technologist to join our Africa Technical team at The Gb Foods, S.A. in Accra, Ghana. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for supporting the design and development of new products, including tooling and fixtures, to meet corporate objectives.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in food technology and a passion for innovation. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to develop cost-effective recipes, ensure accurate sample preparation, and operate lab/kitchen and plant equipment.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing prototypes for new products, conducting shelf-life studies, and performing lab trials and formulation tweaking.
- Ensuring accurate sample preparation, operating lab/kitchen and plant equipment, and developing cost-effective recipes.
- Supporting upscaling from pilot scale and transferring to industrialization, maintaining and operating standard laboratory equipment and practices.
- Documenting experiments and results in laboratory notebooks with full traceability.
- Establishing an efficient network in the factory, in alignment with the correspondent factory partner.
- Performing chemistry analysis on finished products and providing assistance with microbiological testing.
