Cancer Rehab Occupational Therapist - Lymphedema Certified or willing to become Lymphedema Certified
Your ImpactAs an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve independence and regain their daily living skills after a brain injury, physical trauma, or stroke. Your expertise and compassion will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Lead occupational therapy initiatives and coordinate care for patients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
- Maintain a safe environment and advocate for patient needs.
- Monitor patient progress and engage with families and care teams.
- Ensure continuity of care and efficient throughput.
- Advise supervisors when needed and consult with patients and families.
- Initiate patient education and teach occupational therapy skills.
- Develop and implement treatment plans and reassess patient progress.
- Document patient information and treatment plans accurately.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and share knowledge with colleagues.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by assisting others.
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Occupational Therapy license in the State of Louisiana through the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners.
