About the Role:The Plant Technology Manager will play a key role in driving the success of Ferrero's production lines by ensuring the highest quality standards are met. This will involve collaborating with the Production Managers, Quality, and Maintenance teams to guarantee the integrity of the products manufactured.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide recommendations on new recipes and perform data entry and comparison to ensure compliance.
- Define procedures and rules for process data acquisition with the Production and Quality teams.
- Act as a central interface for technological, new, or improved projects for the production lines.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing through dedicated meetings to provide better solutions for Production Managers.
- Collaborate with the Technical Category Development team, Maintenance, and other relevant technical departments to adapt plans and machinery features/functionalities to raw materials, semi-finished goods, and used packaging.
- Provide advice for workability tests on raw materials, semi-finished, and finished goods on new machineries, in collaboration with Ferrero Engineering, suppliers, UGP, and Maintenance.
- Provide technological advice during the execution of technological tests on new machineries.
- Perform regular monitoring of parameters that might affect product and materials reaction on different production lines.
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Technology, or a related discipline.
- 7-9 years of relevant experience in a Production Plant environment.
- Strong management experience.
- Strong technical and mechanical background with excellent knowledge of food manufacturing lines.
- Strong technical knowledge of Ice cream Technology or related technologies.
- Strong knowledge of the production processes, including phases, cycles, production models, and information systems related to production.
- Knowledge of Maintenance processes and programs related to the production/packaging lines, freezers process is a strong asset.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to deal with people from all levels.
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- English and Spanish are mandatory, any other languages is a plus.
