The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Plant Technologist Manager to join our team. As a key member of the Plant Leadership Team, you will collaborate with Production Managers, Quality, and Maintenance to ensure the integrity of our products and optimize process parameters.
Main Responsibilities- Provide recommendations on new recipes, perform data entry, and ensure compliance with production processes.
- Define procedures and rules for process data acquisition with Production and Quality teams.
- Act as a central interface for technological projects, collaborating with Production Managers and Plant Manager.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing through dedicated meetings to provide better solutions for Production Managers.
- Collaborate with Technical Category Development, Maintenance, and other technical departments to adapt plans and machinery features to raw materials, semi-finished goods, and used packaging.
- Provide advice on workability tests for raw materials, semi-finished, and finished goods on new machineries, in collaboration with Ferrero Engineering, suppliers, UGP, and Maintenance.
- Perform regular monitoring of parameters affecting product and materials reaction on different production lines.
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Technology, or related discipline.
- 7-9 years of relevant experience in a Production Plant environment.
- Strong management experience.
- Strong technical and mechanical background with excellent knowledge of food manufacturing lines.
- Strong technical knowledge of Ice cream Technology or related technologies.
- Knowledge of Maintenance processes and programs related to production/packaging lines, freezers process.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to deal with people from all levels.
- Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- English and Spanish are mandatory, any other languages are a plus.
