Job Summary

Marriott International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Finance to lead the Finance team, including Purchasing and IT. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with a focus on strategic planning and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in conducting strategic planning and decision-making, including estimating costs and benefits, exploring new business opportunities, and analyzing financial data.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive annual business plan aligned with the company's and brand's strategic direction.
  • Provide ongoing analytical support by monitoring operating department's actual and projected sales, and producing accurate forecasts.
  • Lead the Finance team, including Purchasing and IT, and oversee internal, external, and regulatory audit processes.
  • Communicate financial concepts in a clear and persuasive manner to drive desired behaviors and meet the needs of key stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or related major; 1 year experience in finance and accounting or related professional area.
  • Master's degree in Finance and Accounting or related major; no work experience required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and compare information to evaluate alternatives and make decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, influence, and encourage others.
  • Knowledge of Marriott systems, including Opera, PeopleSoft, Micros/Infrasys, and USALI.
