We are seeking an experienced Underwriter Property Specialist to join our team at AXA XL. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for providing innovative and bespoke underwriting services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Review and analyze submissions, including policy wording, inspection reports, and financial reports, to determine the degree of risk for each account.
- Calculate appropriate risk premiums by considering the inherent risks to the sector.
- Proactively advise and assist clients on insurance and risk management matters to ensure satisfaction and fulfillment of their insurance requirements.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with brokers, clients, and internal functions to initiate opportunities for cross-selling and ensure account retention.
- Control the timely implementation of new and renewed accounts according to quality standards.
- Support the business planning and forecasting process, monitoring financial exposure within outlined limits, and monitoring premium income to ensure it remains within set limits.
- Maintain awareness of all claims advised.
- Engineering degree or previous experience in a UW Property role.
- Knowledge of the insurance and risk industry, with a focus on property risks (fire risks, business continuity, etc.).
- Strong analytical thinking and data analysis skills.
- Ability to communicate and work in Spanish and English.
- Motivation to grow professionally in a high-expertise team and work environment.
- Ability to respond to a changing environment with flexibility and innovation.
- Strong team player with the ability to work with colleagues of different seniorities and expertise to achieve collective goals.
