We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Category Manager to lead our procurement efforts for Professional Services, specifically IT and R&D consulting. As a key member of our global procurement team, you will be responsible for driving strategic sourcing initiatives, managing supplier relationships, and delivering cost savings and operational efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Sourcing: Anticipate and collect business requirements from various stakeholders, assess the market to determine the best options and sources of supply, lead RFPs, negotiation, and supplier selection, and lead contract negotiation and approval.
- Category Management and Supplier Relationship Management: Analyze and optimize the portfolio of Professional services to continuously optimize cost and operational efficiencies, manage supplier panels, evaluate performance, risk, and innovation, and prepare and lead business reviews with strategic suppliers.
- Stakeholder Management: Drive adoption to a global program of recommended vendors, support and drive change within all parties involved, and lead governance meetings to ensure continuous improvement within the established program.
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in sourcing Professional services in a global environment.
- Excellent sourcing and negotiation skills, including contractual and commercial negotiation, supplier management, should-cost analysis, and sourcing methods and tools.
- Good understanding and experience in legal aspects associated with Professional services, including intellectual property, personal data, cybersecurity, and data protection.
- Ability to influence and convince, networking skills, and relevant experience in project management in a global environment, including change management.
- Subject matter expertise on Professional services market trends, communication, collaboration, and functional leadership skills, and ability to deal with sensitive topics and exposure to executive leaders in a global environment.
- Result-oriented, dynamic, self-driven, and team player with ability to use e-sourcing and data analytics tools, and data-driven to leverage data analytics, data visualization, and data presentation for strategic analysis of category/spend portfolio and supplier panel.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal) and strategic sourcing experience.
- Bachelor's degree (Master's Degree preferred).
