About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Scrum Master to join our team at Siemens, S. A. as a key member of our Agile transformation initiative.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Guide and Coach Agile Teams: Provide guidance and coaching to assigned Agile teams, spread across the globe, to ensure they are working effectively and efficiently.
  2. Focus on Team Success: Focus on the needs of the Team members and enable them to provide value to their customer/stakeholders with the goal of achieving results in line with the organization's values, principles, and business objectives.
  3. Drive Cultural Change: Act as a change agent in the Team and the surrounding organization to proactively help change culture and mindset.
  4. Lead Scrum Ceremonies: Lead/organize and facilitate the Scrum ceremonies and follow up on defined actions.
  5. Remove Impediments: Remove impediments (issue identification and resolution) to ensure the Team can work effectively.
  6. Coach Agile Practices: Coach/train the team to apply Agile practices, helping the Team as a servant-leader to grow and improve - leading by example.
  7. Facilitate Collaboration: Facilitate collaboration within the Team and with the surrounding organization (Product Management, Business Owners, and other stakeholders).
  8. Protect the Team: Protect the Team from outside interference.
  9. Ensure Governance: Ensure that Scrum and other relevant methods are understood and executed properly.
  10. Guide Process Improvement: Guide the team to periodically evaluate the process to become better in making predictions and reducing risks.
  11. Participate in Communities of Practice: Participate in Communities of Practices (CoP) for Scrum Masters to share experience within the organization.
  12. Provide Agile Training: Provide Agile Awareness and SAFe trainings.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology or engineering.
  2. Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master ideally in a scaled environment in an IT organization.
  3. Skills: Good knowledge of Jira and Confluence. Experience with building new or leading complex Agile teams. Experience in a Scaled Agile environment is an asset.
  4. Personal Qualities: Strong collaboration and team development skills. Not afraid to improvise when the situation warrants. Strong facilitation, coaching and mentoring skills. Strong organizational capabilities. Experience in working with virtual, globally distributed teams. You are a team player that likes to work in a multicultural environment.
  5. Language: Written and spoken English on a proficient level is a must; additional language like German is a plus.
