Job Overview

Oliver Wyman is a global leader in management consulting, with a strong presence in the private capital and restructuring sectors. We are seeking an experienced research professional to join our Knowledge Services department, working closely with partners and consultants to gain deep insights into the private capital market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct timely, accurate, and cost-effective research for focused needs, delivering compelling synthesized end products.
  • Work with a wide range of information tools and proprietary databases to provide research for client projects and business development.
  • Develop strong relationships with practice members and work within the framework of the European-based team, building an effective network and liaising with industry specialists.
  • Collaborate with consultants engaged in client service, business development, or intellectual capital building by delivering highly relevant and well-synthesized research.
  • Independently manage the pipeline of industry-specific tasks, set priorities, and collaborate with a team of international colleagues to meet client demands.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years' experience of working in a research environment, providing business information on multiple sectors.
  • Experience of working with specialized data sources, such as Bloomberg, Preqin, Capital IQ, and M&A databases.
  • Knowledge of private capital markets, particularly PE, VC, and LBO.
  • Growth mindset and high-quality work standards, willing to continuously improve skills to enhance service to clients.
  • Excellent communication skills and research synthesis skills, allowing you to draw out key insights and provide basic data analysis.
  • Team player with experience of working as part of a team, enthusiastic, collaborative, and flexible.
