Server and Beverage Specialist

Marriott International is seeking a skilled Server and Beverage Specialist to join our team at The St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort. As a key member of our food and beverage service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is memorable and enjoyable.
Key Responsibilities- Serve food and beverage courses to guests, ensuring prompt and attentive service.
- Set tables according to the type of event and service standards, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for our guests.
- Answer questions about menu selections, providing recommendations and ensuring guests are satisfied with their choices.
- Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, wait times, re-cooked orders, and product availability, ensuring seamless service.
- Record transactions in our MICROS system at the time of order, maintaining accurate records and ensuring efficient service.
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverage, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
- Maintain the cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, and other equipment throughout the day, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, and ensuring the area is secure and ready for the next day.
- Present physical and accurate checks to guests and process payments, ensuring a smooth and efficient checkout process.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 1 year of related work experience in a food and beverage service role.
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance, and objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds with assistance.
- Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.
- Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Supervisory experience is not required.
- License or certification is not necessary.
