Key Responsibilities- Provide legal advice to the business on contracts, corporate matters, regulatory issues, and legislation.
- Research and analyze relevant laws, regulations, and judicial precedents to ensure compliance.
- Draft and negotiate contracts and documents, monitor projects, and resolve legal issues.
- Assist in contract negotiations with clients, suppliers, and business partners.
- Conduct internal and external legal investigations to resolve disputes or legal issues.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in relevant legislation and regulations and assess their impact on company operations.
- Identify and prevent legal risks specific to the sector and operations.
- Represent the company in litigation, arbitration, or other legal processes.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Business and/or Law or other closely related professional qualification.
- 6+ years of post-qualifying experience operating in strategic roles.
- Excellent knowledge of regulation and a regulated business.
- Ability to quickly grasp, synthesize, and retain significant industry knowledge.
- Strong influencing skills and a track record of influencing effectively at senior level.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to provide coaching and direction to senior and junior professionals.
