About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Engineer to join our team at Amazon Business. As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and implementing data-driven solutions to drive business growth and improve customer experience.

As a member of our team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to extract business requirements and propose strategic and tactical levers for developing the B2B marketplace. You will analyze and solve complex business problems, identify areas of opportunity, and present written business recommendations to shape the future of Amazon Business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing and solving business problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context.
  • Identifying, developing, managing, and executing analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present written business recommendations.
  • Developing end-to-end self-service BI solutions to support decision making for key stakeholders in the EU and WW.
  • Training business stakeholders to use BI tools and be autonomous in data analysis.
  • Researching and implementing novel approaches to enhance existing technical and business processes to improve customer and stakeholder experience.
  • Developing and rolling out mathematical models and algorithms to understand customer and vendor behavior and needs.

Requirements

  • Experience programming to extract, transform, and clean large data sets.
  • Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results.
  • Experience with AWS technologies.
  • Experience in scripting for automation and advanced SQL skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership.
