Job Title: Staff Accountant

Job Summary:

Invenergy LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Madrid. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting our Senior Accountant with day-to-day project accounting functions, including development, construction, and operational energy projects, as well as corporate accounting tasks in Spain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing financial statements and project workbooks to support balance sheet and income statement
  • Ensure accuracy of all general ledger information
  • Assist with annual audit work and coordinate projects treasury, banking, and cash flow analysis
  • Monitor tax compliance and accounting activities within Invenergy group internationally, with special focus in Spain
  • Support the preparation and submission of monthly/quarterly tax returns filings (VAT and Withholding Tax) in Spain
  • Support the provision and calculations of Corporate Income Tax in Spain
  • Assist in other administrative tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • 0-3 years of relevant experience in accounting or a related field
  • Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or Law
  • Basic understanding of IFRS and/or Spanish GAAP
  • Intermediate level of English proficiency
  • Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office skills
