Job Summary:
Sek International School is seeking a highly qualified and experienced educator to join our team as a Technology and Design Educator. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and developing the curriculum for Design and Technology, as well as contributing to the school's mission to foster creativity, innovation, and critical thinking in our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging and challenging lesson plans for Design and Technology, aligned with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum.
- Use the MYP design cycle (Investigate, Plan, Create, Evaluate, and Reflect) as a fundamental tool in the design process for this subject.
- Participate in collaborative planning meetings to design effective teaching and assessment strategies.
- Contribute to curriculum research and improvement by providing ideas and resources to enhance the student learning experience.
- Stay updated on the IB program guides being taught.
Requirements:
- Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or Industrial Engineering degree.
- Master's degree in Teaching or a related field.
- Teaching experience, preferably in one of the IB programmes (MYP and/or Diploma) in the areas of Design, Technology, and/or Mathematics.
- Native or near-native speaker English level.
- Speaking Spanish and Catalan will be valued.
- Microsoft Office user.
- Experience with other educational platforms to enhance classroom dynamics and promote such tools with the team will be appreciated.
