Trelleborg Sealing Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Application Specialist to join our Customer Solution Center team in Madrid. As an Application Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our managed accounts by developing sealing solutions that meet technical and economic requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support to managed accounts to develop sealing solutions, considering technical and economic aspects.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers (design or R&D) for all technical questions, with the aim of building a multilevel network with the customer.
- Maintain close contact and alignment with other Business Units (e.g., manufacturing sites, R&D, SCM) to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Develop a deep understanding of customers' applications and explain the benefits of our sealing portfolio with customized solutions (application-specific material compounds, quality-related requirements, etc.).
- Initiate RFQs, manage technical complaints, and ensure material compliance.
- Provide market feedback to identify innovation trends and improve our sealing portfolio.
- Perform product and technical trainings to enhance the skills of our team and customers.
- Support the preparation of and/or participate in customer visits and fairs.
- Conduct sealing evaluations to provide suggestions for improvements to customers' applications.
- Manage article data and perform industrialization of design solutions (quality planning, item creation non-standard, etc.).
- Approve technical drawings, customer specifications, and documentation, and initiate the process for routing and storage in alignment with all involved parties.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Material Technology, or equivalent qualifications.
- Project Management skills with proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Experience/knowledge in the rubber, plastic, polymer industry, or sealing technology is an advantage.
- Customer-driven with a positive, professional, can-do attitude.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask, attention to detail, and accuracy.
- Good understanding of IT tools (Office, CRM, ERP, CAD, etc.).
- Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
