About the Role

CSL Vifor is seeking a highly skilled Medical Science Liaison to join our team in Madrid. As a Medical Science Liaison, you will play a critical role in establishing and maintaining medical relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), and key accounts on behalf of Vifor Pharma Group.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Medical Affairs Expertise: Represent Medical Affairs externally to provide medical expertise in Therapeutic Areas (TAs) and products, and through scientific engagement with the medical community.
  2. Country Medical Plans: Execute country medical plans locally by representing the medical expertise in TAs and products and through scientific engagement with the medical community.
  3. Disease State Education: Provide disease state education, medical information, and research support to HCPs and KOLs.
  4. Scientific Insights: Share scientific insights from medical community interactions with local and global medical teams, ensuring capturing of field medical expertise.
  5. Training and Development: Train colleagues internally, all in accordance with global and local compliance and regulations.
  6. Scientific and Medical Expertise: Develop and maintain scientific and medical expertise (TAs and products).
  7. KOL Engagement: Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with KOLs, HCPs, and professional organizations.
  8. Medical Support: Provide medical support for patient and formulary access products following global and local policies and procedures.
  9. Medical Activities: Support the development, implementation, and completion of medical activities (advisory boards, congress symposia, hospital meetings, and speaker programs).
  10. Medical Resource: Serve as a medical resource for internal medical and sales training.
  11. Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable local and global laws, regulations, guidelines, and company policies and procedures.
  12. Personal and Professional Development: Develop personal and professional capabilities to improve skills and professional capabilities.
Requirements
  1. Education: University degree in Medical or Life Science Field (e.g., Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology/Biochemistry).
  2. Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in clinical practice, research, or pharmaceutical industry.
  3. KOL Engagement: Demonstrated experience in KOL, HCP, or medical community engagement.
  4. Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills in Spanish, experience with digital communication; good communication skills in English.
  5. Public Presentations: Experience in public scientific presentations.
  6. Travel: Ability for overnight travel, up to 50%.
