Job Summary:

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will play a key role in strengthening our Medical Affairs Department in Iberia. As a subject matter expert, you will be responsible for generating opportunities and resources to achieve scientific and commercial objectives for the therapy areas under your responsibility, with a focus on gene therapy.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide field-based medical support to the sales force, gathering and sharing relevant information on current treatment practices, barriers to change, and customers' preferences for therapies.
  • Contribute to loading the 'Veeva' CRM system with useful information on field work, facilitating customer segmentation in the therapeutic areas under your responsibility.
  • Build and develop scientific networks with key customers, organizing and conducting expert meetings with key opinion leaders to ensure the company's positioning is well known within its customer group.
  • Develop a strong scientific network of key customers to enable expert meetings as a way to ensure the continuous development of the company's image, supporting sales development of existing products and the introduction of new launches.
  • Identify, initiate, implement, and contribute to clinical projects (phase IV, PMS, RWE, and/or pharmaco-economic/epidemiological studies, whether IIT or CIT driven), disseminating, supporting, and developing at the affiliate level all available company award programs.
  • Manage targeted hospital physicians and pharmacists with medical information services that facilitate sales development of existing products and new launches.
  • Support and collaborate in the preparation, organization, and update of training programs for the franchises under your responsibility to ensure the affiliate's commercial team's know-how to optimize performance.
  • Assure the correct sharing of knowledge within CSL Behring and properly support strategic planning processes, preparing evidence-based argumentation to support successful launch programs for products under your responsibility, with a focus on the gene therapy program.

Requirements:

  • Scientific University Degree. MBA or commercial specific training would be an advantage.
  • Ideally 3+ years of experience in Medical Affairs or a related position, with specific know-how on clinical development, drug safety, and pharmacovigilance. International exposure would be an advantage. Competence on national medical legislation is considered necessary.
  • Prior experience providing MSL level support to products in specific therapeutic areas would be an asset.

Reporting Relationships:

This position reports to the Medical Affairs Manager Immunology, Respiratory, HAE Iberia.
