Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Professional to join our team on a contract basis. As an Interim International Tax Senior Manager, you will be responsible for managing sales and use tax across all 50 states.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage Sales and Use Tax: Oversee the management of sales and use tax across all 50 states, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations.
- Review and Approve Exemption/Resale Certificates: Review and approve exemption/resale certificates to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain Exemption/Resale Certificate Management System: Maintain the exemption/resale certificate management system to ensure efficient and accurate processing.
- Process Tax Adjustments: Process tax adjustments for non-taxable sales in Infor CSD.
- Provide Tax Guidance: Provide tax guidance to business partners to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Prepare Resale Certificates: Prepare resale certificates for suppliers to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Research and Comply with Regulations: Research and comply with state and local regulations to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Assist with Audits: Assist with sales/use tax audits to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Prepare and Upload Journal Entries: Prepare and upload journal entries to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Reconcile Sales and Use Tax General Ledger Accounts: Reconcile sales and use tax general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Develop and Implement Process Improvements: Develop and implement process improvements to ensure efficient and accurate processing.
- Handle Special Projects: Handle special projects and additional duties as assigned.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in indirect tax and accounting, ideally 3-5 years.
- Education: Accounting degree or equivalent experience.
- Skills: Advanced Excel skills, experience with Avalara and CCH Tax Research preferred.
- Qualifications: Strong problem-solving skills, excellent organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
