Dow Jones & Company, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled UX Researcher to join our team in a Business-to-Business (B2B) capacity. As a UX Researcher, you will play a critical role in understanding the needs and behaviors of our B2B customers, informing the development of user-centered design solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct user research to gain a deep understanding of our B2B customers' goals, motivations, and pain points.
- Develop and maintain a knowledge repository of user insights, providing actionable recommendations to inform design decisions.
- Collaborate with UX Architects, UX Designers, and other stakeholders to define outstanding end-to-end user experiences for our B2B audience.
- Contribute to overall B2B product direction by delivering evaluations of proposed and current UX solutions.
- Report on current projects and use of resources, ensuring effective project management and coordination.
- Coordinate testing with third-party vendors and internal teams, ensuring seamless execution.
- Develop and maintain UX documentation, providing clear and concise rationale for design decisions.
- Stay informed about the latest UX research trends and techniques, proactively pursuing knowledge for professional development.
- Provide feedback and recommendations on how UX can best achieve business goals, supporting UX strategy and overall best practices for user experience.
- Facilitate hands-on problem-solving sessions, events, and workshops with cross-functional teams.
- Supply in-depth research reports to inform decision-making.
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role in a B2B space.
- Pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic understanding of rich interactive, consumer, or enterprise web applications.
- Experience conducting, analyzing, and communicating UX research.
- Experience with UserZoom or other user testing software, and industry-standard digital product design tools (Figma, Adobe CC, Omnigraffle, and prototyping software such as InVision).
- Strong proficiency with G-suite products and experience with professional collaboration tools such as Jira, Miro, Confluence, and Airtable.
- Understanding of latest Web and App user experience best practices.
- Understanding of user-centered design principles.
- Experience with, or a strong interest in, the media, news, information & data sector.
