About the Role

MongoDB is seeking a highly skilled Technical Services Engineer to join our team in Barcelona. As a Technical Services Engineer, you will play a critical role in advising customers and solving complex MongoDB problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional technical support to customers, combining problem-solving skills with deep technical expertise.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their MongoDB ecosystem and provide tailored solutions to optimize performance, availability, and scalability.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including product management and development, to ensure customer needs are met and best practices are shared.
  • Contribute to internal projects, including software development of support tools for performance, benchmarking, and diagnostics.
  • Focus on the performance of our Cloud platform Atlas and its supported services, helping both frontend and backend developers build next-generation applications on the MongoDB platform.
Requirements
  • Strong technical experience in distributed systems, database architecture, application architecture, and data architecture.
  • Experience supporting complex mission-critical product applications and database systems (RDMBS or NoSQL or both).
  • Supporting Cloud and/or Enterprise grade applications.
  • Strong diagnostics and troubleshooting experience, with the ability to analyze issues holistically, from the application tier to database to storage.
  • Broad awareness of customer workloads and use cases, including performance, availability, and scalability.
  • Systems administration experience, including Linux performance, memory management, I/O tuning, configuration, security, networking, clusters, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read code and basic coding/scripting ability in one or more languages: Java, Python, Ruby, C, C++, C#, JavaScript, Go, etc.
  • Good understanding of Networking concepts and protocols (DNS, TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, etc.).
  • Storage engineering experience, including NAS, RAID, SAN, SSD, multi-pathing, and caching.
  • Working with real-time stream processing using Kafka.
  • Serverless computing services such as AWS Lambda, Azure functions.

  • Good written and verbal skills in Spanish.
