Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the transition of transportation functions from local to centralized operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement of innovative technologies, ensuring alignment with market demands.
  • Develop and implement top-tier training processes to enhance team capabilities.
  • Navigate high-pressure scenarios that require prompt responses to market dynamics.
  • Collaborate on various PepsiCo initiatives, including Lean Six Sigma projects.
Detailed Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in the Global Transportation Management System (gTMS), including locations, carriers, and user access.
  • Train colleagues on updates and process changes related to gTMS, providing comprehensive training materials for new functionalities and organizational shifts.
  • Ensure successful execution of daily transportation plans by field sites, addressing optimization challenges arising from order modifications and shipping delays.
  • Test and upgrade tool versions from a sector perspective, collaborating with Network Enabler and Technical Development teams.
  • Lead efforts to address exceptions and errors, ensuring timely action plans are implemented.
  • Optimize transportation payloads and ensure accurate reporting on costs, service levels, and order acceptance.
  • Support warehouse dock scheduling operations effectively.
  • Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Carrier Scorecards, service level agreements (SLAs), fuel surcharges, and monthly forecasts.
  • Maintain weekly communication with carriers to ensure successful execution of digitalization projects, developing special action plans as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma preferred.
  • Proficiency in system development with demonstrated configuration and programming skills is advantageous.
  • Strong command of English, both written and verbal.
  • Solid understanding of the transportation market and carrier operations.
  • Proficient in computer applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Familiarity with reporting systems and analytical tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
