Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the transition of the transportation function from local operations to a centralized model.

  • Navigate high-pressure scenarios that require immediate market responses.
  • Participate in various PepsiCo initiatives, including Lean Six Sigma projects.
Detailed Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in the gTMS system, ensuring proper access for all users.
  • Train colleagues on updates and process changes related to gTMS, providing necessary training materials for new functionalities.
  • Ensure the successful execution of daily transportation plans by collaborating with field personnel to resolve any optimization challenges.
  • Lead the testing and upgrading of tool versions from a sector perspective, coordinating with technical teams.
  • Generate exception/error reports to ensure timely action plans are implemented.
  • Optimize transportation payloads for maximum efficiency.
  • Provide accurate reporting on costs, service levels, and order acceptance.
  • Support operations related to warehouse dock scheduling.
  • Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as carrier scorecards, service level agreements, and monthly forecasts.
  • Maintain regular communication with carriers to ensure the success of digitalization initiatives and develop action plans as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma preferred.
  • Proficiency in system development with demonstrated configuration and programming skills.
  • Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of the transportation market and carrier operations.
  • Proficient in computer applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Familiarity with reporting systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and effective verbal and written communication abilities.
