- Financial Performance Monitoring: Work closely with the Senior Controller to monitor financial performance and report variances to management.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.
- Accounting Procedures and Compliance: Implement accounting procedures, internal controls, and best practices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Financial Analysis and Reporting: Generate reports adhering to legal, regulatory, and corporate standards.
- Financial Due Diligence and Integration: Support financial due diligence and integration efforts in mergers and acquisitions.
- Compliance and Year-End Reporting: Ensure compliance with accounting practices and assist in year-end financial reporting.
- Finance Department Liaison: Serve as a liaison between the finance department and external vendors or financial institutions.
- Academic Background: Academic background in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of Accounting/Finance experience.
- Project Accounting Experience: Experience in project accounting methods, including Percentage of Completion (POC) and Estimate at Completion (EAC).
- Team Management Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Accounting Team Management experience.
- Professional Certification: Canadian CPA accreditation.
- Technical and Analytical Skills: Exemplary technical acumen and analytical prowess, coupled with a keen eye for detail and precision.
- Communication Skills: Effective and strategic communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Leadership and Multitasking: Demonstrable track record in orchestrating end-to-end financial operations, with a proven aptitude for multitasking and a proactive, hands-on approach.
- Team Management: Ability to manage a large team.
